|Dr Jonathan Adey

|Dr.Jonathan Adey was originally trained as a fisheries science, where he worked with fishing communities to develop sustainable fishing practices. Following this Jonathan worked in Investment Banking before returning to the environmental area. Jonathan’s current role involves supporting partners to shape the current and future investment priorities for our European funding programmes. This currently involves scoping the potential that renewable energy and smart grid technology may play in our next EU funding round (2014 -2020).
As a part of this work Jonathan currently is working on the Smart Cornwall Programme which is designing a programme of work to ensure Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly takes a lead role in the UK’s development and roll out of Smart Grid technologies. Jonathan was recently awarded a Winston Churchill fellowship to travel to the Far East to build collaborative partnerships in this area.
